Requirements for raw materials in the production of silicon calcium alloy
The raw materials for smelting silicon calcium alloys are silica, lime, coke, wood (or charcoal) and bituminous coal.
Silica:
The SiO2 content is required to be greater than 98%. The Al2O3+Fe2O3 content is less than 1%. The less other impurities, the better. The surface should not be stuck with soil or other impurities, and the water absorption rate is less than 5%. The silica furnace has a particle size of 30-60 mm. Where the portion larger than 60 mm and smaller than 30 mm is less than 5%.
Lime:
The CaO content is greater than 85%. The Al2O3 content is less than 0.5%. The Fe2O3 content is less than 0.3%. Do not mix raw and burned. The furnace particle size is 10-15 mm.
Coke:
The coke fixed carbon should be greater than 80% and the ash content should be less than 15%. The furnace particle size is 3 to 5 mm. The coke breeze should be less than 10%.
Charcoal fixed carbon is greater than 75% and ash is less than 2%. The volatile matter is less than 20% and the moisture is less than 10%. Do not mix raw wood, powder and other impurities. The block size is 20 to 80 mm.
Block:
Use ordinary pine wood without bark. The thickness is greater than 20mm and the length is less than 200mm. Where the thickness is less than 20mm, it should be less than 5%.
Bituminous coal:
The ash content is required to be less than 8% and the moisture content is less than 10%. Do not mix with other impurities. Have good sintering properties. The furnace particle size is 0 to 13 mm.
